Rocky Point Heating & Air Conditioning/files/rp-logo.png$1201 Ioco Rd, Port Moody BC 778-994-4724"I had an air conditioning system installed by this company in February 2024, and the master bedroom unit has been making an intermittent hissing and rattling noise since then. I reported the issue immediately, and over the next year and a half, there were five service visits in total. The owner became increasingly dismissive and impatient about sending technicians again, even though the technicians were never able to fix the issue.  During the first few visits, the technician could not get the system to make the noise and was unable to fix anything. Later, a technician confirmed the sound was caused by an air leak and said the issue would be reported to Daikin for warranty replacement. However, as of the end of 2025, the problem still hasn’t been resolved. I have had to follow up many times to get updates, and the company continued to delay action, saying they were waiting to hear from the manufacturer. In July, Daikin reportedly agreed to replace the defective unit under warranty, but the company refuses to do the work without charging extra labor, even though they supplied and installed the system. In their own words, “Daikin said they would replace the head under warranty, but haven't gotten back to us yet about who's paying us to do it. We are not doing it for free as this has nothing to do with our installation.” It doesn’t make sense for the customer to pay additional labor when the company installed the faulty system in the first place.  I paid for a complete, fully functional AC system, but after more than a year of ongoing communication and service calls, the problem remains unresolved. My experience has been very disappointing, especially given the time and effort it has taken to get a response."
